Replacing the power supply is a quick and easy process and should only take a few minutes to swap out. Take a look at our instructions below on how to get access to the control board and plug. Let's get started!
1. You'll need to remove the top cover. Be careful not to disconnect the wiring. If you need additional help, check out our article Removing the Top Cover.
2. The power supply plugs into the back left side of your control board, on the underside of your top cover. If the control board is hidden, remove the cover by squeezing on both sides and pulling out.
3. Once you can see the control board, you'll see two red adaptors connected to the board - unplug those adaptors and set the current power cord aside.
4. Go ahead and grab your new power cord. Plug the adaptors from the new cord into the same connection on the control board. It doesn't matter which red adaptor connects to which metal prong, they just both need to be connected to that spot.
5. Plug the opposite end of the cord into the outlet and you should see the screen light up.
6. If you had a cover over the board, go ahead and put that back on. Place the top cover back on the softener. Depending on how long you were unplugged for, you may need to reset the current time on the screen with the Up/Down arrows.
