1. First, identify if you're unit is compatible with iQua or iQua2 - they are different. Three ways to identify which one you have:
- On the product box - it will say iQua or iQua2
- Open the salt lid - underneath the lid that there will be a big sticker with information about your softener - it will say either iQua or iQua2
- Check the serial number - the sticker on the rim area of the softener under the salt lid includes your serial number information. On that sticker, you can match the beginning of the serial number with the information below:
iQua - M45C019 or M45C023
iQua2 - M45C026
2. Once you've identified what app you should use, go ahead and download it.

4. In the app, go to the home screen and select 'Add your first device' or 'Connect' to start connecting.
5. In the app, select 'Setup Device' - it will begin searching for the system. If it says it's not found, hit 'Retry'.
6. When it's found, the Device Name will show up and you can select 'Yes'.
7. It will go through a few screens to set up. Once it's done that, you'll select your network and then enter your wifi password.
You'll see the display change from "Conn" to C-1, C-2, and C-3 at various points during the connection process:
8. It will say "Setup Complete" and then you'll need to give your device a name and add your address information. You can skip this or add your information in and then continue on. If you skip you'll be brought back to your home screen with the softener.
9. Once complete, the softener should return to displaying the clock. If everything is connected but 'Conn' or one of the 'C' codes still appears, press the 'Select' button.
